Problem Gambling. The Gaming Control Act and Board rules require that gaming operator licensees maintain a compulsive gambling plan. Racetrack gaming operator licensees are required to contribute one quarter of one percent of net slot revenues toward the prevention, education, and treatment of compulsive gambling.
Penn National Gaming's 41 facilities in 19 jurisdictions across the country support thousands of worthwhile local charities, civic groups and nonprofit organizations.
In addition to financial support, our properties open their doors to charitable organizations by hosting fundraisers and donating the use of their facilities for other special events.
Our team members are encouraged to get personally active in civic organizations, and, from blood drives to food drives, donate their time and resources to help improve the quality of life for their fellow team members and neighbors.
In-Kind and Monetary Donations
If your nonprofit organization would like to apply for consideration of a monetary or in-kind donation from one of our individual casinos, please complete the form below and select the casino closest to you.
Your organization must have tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and must be physically located in the city, town or region of the casino from which you are requesting support.

The proposed riverfront resort and casino will transform Norfolk into a premier tourist destination in the mid-Atlantic. The resort and casino will be located on approximately 14 acres of land east of Harbor Park along the banks of the Elizabeth River and be operated by the Pamunkey Indians, who are native Virginians. Tourists will be able to quickly and easily access the resort and casino off Interstate-264. The tourist destination is estimated to generate 6.2 million annual visits, which will have a substantial economic impact on the City of Norfolk.
