Abraham just took home his tenth Borgata title last month during the DeepStacks Series, pushing his lifetime reported earnings close to $1.89 million.

Gary Tavella got his last ~9,000 in from under-the-gun and Abraham looked him up from the small blind on a flop of . Gary’s (top/top) was ahead of Abraham, who was drawing to a flush and gutshot with .

The board completed with two bricks, the and , and Gary survived, doubling to about 20,000. Abraham was left with about the same amount of chips.

Level 2: Blinds 100/100/100 Big Blind Ante

With this level, the Big Blind Ante has begun. In this format, only the player in the big blind posts the ante for the table. The amount is always the same as the Big Blind, regardless of the number of players at the table. If there is an all-in situation in the big blind, chips go toward the big blind first, then the ante.

The first starting flight of the Borgata Summer Poker Open Kick-Off is underway! Tournament Director Tab Duchateau has made the opening announcements and cards are in motion.

Players get 25,000 tournament chips to start and registration for this flight is open until the start of level 13 (about 5:45pm). Entries & re-entries are unlimited so players who bust out can re-enter this flight or any subsequent flight until registration closes.

All Day 1 levels are 30 minutes long and there will be 16 levels played before they call it quits for the night.

Borgata Poker Tournaments July 2019 Calendar

The 2019 Borgata Summer Poker Open begins July 9th with 18 jam-packed days of tournaments with more than $3.4 million in guarantees! Check out the schedule of Main Events and Secondary Events on Borgata’s web site, along with all the info and links you need on the Summer Poker Open Micro-site.

Online registration for all BSPO Main Events events is available now through Friday, July 5th. On-Site registration will open at 12 noon Monday, July 8th, and then will be open daily 8am to midnight throughout the series.

The massively popular $1 Million Guaranteed $540+$60 DeepStack Kick-Off Event leads with six starting flights over the first three days of the series. Live satellites begin Monday, July 8th and are shown on the Secondary Events schedule.

Gary Tavella – 1st Place – 2018 Borgata Summer Poker Open $1M GTD Kick-Off

Last year, this event drew more than 2,200 runners and high-stakes cash game player Gary Tavella claimed $143,730* for 1st place.

The crowning jewel of the BSPO series is the $1 Million Guaranteed Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship, which begins Sunday and Monday, July 21st and 22nd, with starting Flights A and B. Registration for the Best Stack Forward and Unlimited Re-Entry event remains open until the start of Level 11 on Day 2 (July 23rd) about 2:15pm. In 2018, 627 entrants created a prize pool in excess of $1.5 million. Greg Nerenberg emerged triumphant at the final table, which was live-streamed on TwitchTV, defeating Kane Kalas heads-up and earning $365,062.

The Kick-Off is followed by the crowd-favorite Black Chip Bounty, which again carries a $150,000 guarantee on total buy-ins, not including the $100 bounties for each player eliminated. The first Saturday Series $100,000 Guaranteed event is also a Charity event, with a $10 from each entrant donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch.

In addition to the two Saturday Series, the other regular one-day events are back, along with some new additions. One-day trophy events include the Seniors, Deeper Stack, HOSE, PLO, Ladies, and four Bounty events: a Double Green-Chip, a Black Chip, and TWO different Purple Chip bounty events.

Multi-day events include the Deepest Stack with two starting flights and a $100,000 Guarantee and the huge Almighty Stack with six starting flights and a $500,000 Guarantee. One major change on this year’s schedule is the $100,000 Guaranteed SixMax has been changed to an EightMax, but carries the same guarantee. This two day event runs Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th, headlining a busy weekend before the Championship begins.

It’s getting hot outside and it will start heating up inside Borgata on July 9th when the Summer Poker Open begins!

While thousands of players from around the world have flocked to Sin City to play the 50th anniversary of the World Series of Poker, east coast grinders should not feel left out as the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey has announced the full schedule of its upcoming premiere live tournament series.

Scheduled to return from July 9 (four days after the final starting flight of the WSOP Main Event Day 1), this year’s Borgata Summer Poker Open (BSPO) boasts $3.4 million in guarantees spread over 21 tournaments.

As already revealed by pokerfuse last month, the series will kick off with the traditional $600 buy-in Deepstack event featuring six Day 1 starting flights. The event boasts a massive $1 million guarantee and will run for five days (July 9-13).

Another event featuring a seven-figure guarantee is the marquee $2700 buy-in Summer Poker Championship event scheduled to run from July 21 to 25. It will once again feature two days of Day 1 starting flights. Day 2 and Day 3 will be played on July 23 and July 24 respectively. The final day of the event will be played on July 25 and it will be live-streamed on Borgata’s Twitch channel.

Other highlights include the $450 buy-in Almighty Stack event boasting $500,000 guarantee. The event runs from July 16 also featuring five starting flights with the final day to be played on July 20.

There will also be a Pot Limit Omaha event with a buy-in of $340, a $100,000 guaranteed Saturday Series Deepstack on July 20, as well as a Ladies event and a Seniors event.

Online qualifiers and satellites to the million guaranteed events will run on BorgataPoker.com from June 23 to July 21. Players can qualify for the land-based events for as low as $5.

The Borgata Summer Poker Open is the casino’s third of its five major live series held at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa every year. The recently concluded Borgata Spring Poker Open paid out more than $4.5 million across 21 tournaments. Each of the tournaments except for two surpassed their guarantees with ease. The $2700 Championship event attracted 505 total entries to amass a prize pool of $1.22 million.

Ahead of the BSPO in July, Borgata has scheduled two live tournament series. The first is the Deepstacks challenge featuring over $300,000 in guaranteed prize pools across 13 tournaments. The series runs for 13 days from June 10-22 hosting one tournament on each day. Buy-ins range from $120 to $400. Each of the tournaments carries a guarantee.

On June 29, the casino will host the Borgata Sportsbook Poker Open tournament to mark the opening of the new sports betting venue. Two new sportsbook bars dubbed as the Moneyline Bar & Book and Level One Cocktail Bar & Lounge will be launched on June 29. As per the press release, Borgata spent more than $12 million in development of this project which the casino initially called a new “destination bar.” The construction of this new venue began in late January.

The Sportsbook Poker Open tournament will cost $300 to enter and it will feature $25,000 guaranteed prize pool.
